Q: What does the admission price include?
A: Each admission price is "all inclusive". You get all 3 of our attractions for those prices
Q: how do I purchase tickets?
A: We have 2 options for you. You can either purchase tickets on-line via our paypal checkout system, which saves you $2 per ticket, or you can simply show up at our haunt during our "hours of operation" and buy tickets at our ticket booth.
Q: If I purchase tickets on-line, how do I get them?
A: Simply print out your paypal receipt, and bring it to our ticket booth to redeem your tickets. We record the paypal transaction ID as proof that your tickets were both purchased AND redeemed.
Q: What is "Fast Track" admission?
A: Fast Track admission is a way of by-passing the regular line into our haunt. The price is $26 per person or $21 per person with a group of 15 or more. A special enterance is used to by-pass the regular line. Again, the Fast Track ticket is "all inclusive".
Q: Where are you located?
A: We are located at Deperio's Country Farm, 300 West Grand Ave, in Montvale, NJ. The easiest access to the haunt is off the Garden State Pkwy. Take the Garden State N. to exit 172. Stay to the right after the off-ramp. At the first traffic light, make a right on Mercedes Drive. We are located on the left hand side across from Mercedes Benz. Mapquest us if you are unsure of our location. There IS an enterance to Depiero's on the east side of the farm on Grand Avenue, but you must be traveling east in order to reach it. Otherwise, the best thing to do is to enter our lot off of Mercedes Drive.
Q: Is your haunt scary?
A: Yes! We try to be as scary as possible.
Q: What age range is appropriate for your haunt?
A: We like to say 13 and up but this is completely your choice. We have had 15 year olds crying and escorted out of the haunt and 10 year olds that tell us the haunt wasn't scary. So it's an individual choice who you choose to bring.
Q: If I purchase tickets on-line, how do I get them?
A: Simply print out your paypal receipt, and bring it to our ticket booth to redeem your tickets. We record the paypal transaction ID as proof that your tickets were both purchased AND redeemed.
Q: I'm 35, will the haunt still be scary?
A: Absolutely! We pride ourselves on being able to scare people even in their 30's and up!
Q: Will the actors touch me?
A: No. Our actors will not lay their hands on you and we ask that you adhere to the same rules and do not touch them. We give our actors safe "foam props" to graze against you as an additional scare, but our actors do not grab at you.
Q: Is it a ride?
A: No, it's a walk-through that takes approx. 30 minutes to get through. The terrain is pretty flat but there IS some moderate up-hill walking with some rocky terrain. You can find more information about each attraction on the "about us" page and the "attractions" page.
Q: Is it indoors?
A: No, we are an outdoor attraction and subject to the weather. We stay open in a light drizzle as this adds to the atmosphere but we must close in heavy rains and wind conditions in accordance with local and state safety regulations. So, dress warm!
Q: When are you open?
A: We are open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in October, plus Halloween night. The hours for each night can be different so please check our "hours of operation" page for more information on the specific hours we are open.
Q: Do I need to make a reservation or appointment?
A: Nope! Just show up to the haunt during our normal hours of operation.
Q: What happens if I get there at 9:45pm on a night you are only open until 10pm?
A: We will stay open as long as there is a line. Anyone who purchased tickets BEFORE 10pm, will absolutely get into the haunt, regardless of the time. We never turn people away because it "got too late".
Q: Are there refreshments at your haunt?
A: Definitely. We have hot chocolate, red bull, water, packaged snacks, chips, chocolate, and even vendors up in the lot selling funnel cakes and cotton candy.
Q: I came last year, and scaring looks fun. Can I work there?
A: If you would like to apply to work, check the "Actor's wanted" page for updates on meetings that you can attend, and fill out a job application. We ONLY hire people who are available every friday, saturday, and sunday in October, including Halloween night. If you can only make a few dates, please don't waste your time applying. We will not hire you.
Q: Can my band play at your haunt?
A: Email us through the contact page with information on what you play, and your availability. We do not pay the bands that play, but you may sell your T-shirts, CD's, and hand out flyers to people. We bring in hundreds of poeple every night, and the exposure received is well worth the effort on coming out. We will also give you an address that you can send a demo tape to.
If we agree to have you at the haunt, we will give you 1 date to play (a lot of bands ask us to play, and we try to get a good handful in for the month). If it rains that date, we're sorry, but there are no make-ups. It's a "luck of the draw". If your date was rained out, we will absolutely give you a date for the following season. No need to "re-apply" or send another demo.
Q: I have a great product that I think would sell well at your haunt. Can I vendor there?
A: Yes, we have vendoring opportunities. Simply email us through the "contact us" page and include information on your product/services. If you plan to sell unpackaged foods (hot dogs, funnel cakes, ect.), you MUST have an open food license. Please mail us a copy of the license a week or two before we open. We provide a 10x10 space for you with 1 electric line. We do not have enough generator capacity to give you more than 1 line. You provide your own tables, chairs, lighting, ect.
Q: My question isn't answered here. How can I contact you?
A: Go to the "contact us" page and feel free to contact us by email or voicemail. Do NOT call the cell phone number listed on the bottom of the "contact us" page unless you are in route to the haunt and completely lost, or you are unsure if we are open because the weather looks bad.
